Today I was feeling a bright lip colour, so I went with this awesome matte pink: Ole Flamingo, one of the Rouge Edition Velvet collection from Bourjois. Wearing bright colours during the day really gives me a kick of confidence! I love this bright fuschia shade and the formulation makes me want to buy more of these! Matte but not drying with uber staying power, these are little gems.
The application of this is really incredible - the doe foot applicator is small enough so that applying to the edges of the lips neatly is a cinch, but it is large enough and provides enough product to fill in the lips just as easily. As you can see in the photographs, this doesn't feather around the edges of the lips, and you can get a clean line easily. Two swipes of this give a really intense, opaque colour which will last for hours.
The texture is soft and creamy, and it sets matte in a couple of minutes. It doesn't settle into lines, and the staying power is excellent. As a plus, when it does fade, it leaves a stain behind, so some colour remains, and it also reapplies without going crumbly as some matte stains do. You will have to use a good remover to get this off at the end of the day!
The packaging is lovely too - simple and elegant, with a colour matched lid and transparant glass case so you can easily see what shade it is and how much is left. An up side of the square container is no rolling off your dressing table!
