A sunny morning prompted me to reach for an equally summery shade of lipstick today - step up, Clinique Chubby Stick Intense, in the shade Heftiest Hibiscus. This is a gorgeous, vibrant coral red, perfect for this time of year.
Besides the wonderful colour, I have to say this is a really great lip product. The pigmentation is excellent, they weren't fooling around with the "Intense" thing - the payoff is great, it is instantly opaque after one swipe. Alternatively, you can get a more sheer application by just tapping on the lips and then gently rubbing in with your finger.
The other fab thing about this, is that it's super moisturising. It feels like the lip balm it is rather than a lipstick, and is a product you want to keep applying throughout the day, just to top up that moisturised feeling - although you won't actually need to do this too often, as the staying power is pretty good for such a moisturising, balm like product. Luckily, this is also a cinch to put on - the stick is handily wound up, no messy sharpeners involved, and application is just as you would expect from a lip balm too - just swipe it on and go.
