Beauty Hacks - Tips and Tricks to save you time and money!

I'm sure we all like to save ourselves some cash now and then, or think it's handy when one product can have more than one use, so I thought it would be a good idea to offer up any beauty tips and tricks that I have heard, used, invented, swear by etc. I like to call them "beauty hacks" (as in life hacks) as they are little shortcuts to an easier life - and I am all about that! So I will update you as and when I discover a little gem of a beauty hack.

So without further ado, my beauty hack of today is..... Coconut Oil!

Second Day Saviour - Batiste Strength and Shine Dry Shampoo

I don’t like to wash my hair every day, and I wouldn’t recommend doing it either (though I DO recommend showering yourself daily – obviously! I just tie my hair into a high bun to keep it out of the way). Over washing your hair can strip it of its protective natural oils, and may actually lead to damaged hair over time. Personally I try to only wash my hair every other day or even every three days, but this leaves me with another problem: I am definitely not keen on the idea of looking like a total greaseball. Of course you can tie your hair up on the second or third day, but most of the time I think that can serve to accentuate the oily situation, and I also don’t like to tie my hair up too often to avoid breakage. So – what’s the answer? Dry shampoo to the rescue!

It's a Cream Eye Shadow Showdown - Clinique vs Barbara Daly

I will start by saying that lunchbreaks are deadly and I should not be allowed to take one. Because things like this happen...I decided to go into Boots to get a meal deal and came out with a Clinique Chubby Stick for eyes. Whoops. THEN I went to Tesco and three Barbara Daly eyeshadows caught my eye – they look like a similar idea to the Chubby Sticks except, well as you can see, they are skinny sticks! SO, of course, I had to buy them and test them out! At only £3 per eyeshadow, compared to £17 for one Chubby Stick, how could I refuse?
