First of all, apologies for the lack of posts last week! I didn't intend to take a week off, but I was actually taking a bit of my own advice, and dealing with a bout of Blogger's Block! That's what actually inspired me to write today's post: a few tips which I have found to be useful when dealing with writer's block, to get yourself back on track.
I have been loving the taupe/grey lip trend for a while now, but Stone lipliner by Mac always seems to be sold out whenever I go to buy it online! I didn't expect to be able to find anything close to such a unique colour anywhere on the high street, but I think that this liquid lipstick from Maybelline does a pretty good job.
So, this is a new one for me! I have never done a "tag" post before, but I thought it would be fun to do as a sort of "get to know me" post, where I can give you a little insight into...well, me! Also, the blogging community is a great one to be part of, and it's always good to share the love, and communicate with each other! As you may have seen lately on Instagram or elsewhere on the internet, Kylie Jenner has recently been announced as Nip + Fab's new ambassador, which undoubtedly (as happens with any of the Kardashian/Jenner clan!) will bring a huge amount of attention to a brand which, until now, seems to have been a little bit under the radar. I have been using a couple of items from their Viper Venom range since Christmas, and thought this was a great time to post a review, as there may now be more of you out there who are interested in these products and what they can do.
Today I tried something a bit different - I usually hate glosses, and I'm not usually a fan of pinks like this on the lips, but I thought I would give this one a go - the Rimmel Apocolips in Celestial.
When it comes to foundations, I am quite particular, as I'm sure most of you are. I know what I want out of a foundation, and I am always on the hunt for that "Holy Grail" perfect foundation. No matter how much I fall in love with one, I can't help thinking that there might be something slightly better out there, and this keeps pushing me to always try different products.
For this week's Lip Of The Day, I was inspired by this gorgeous sunny day that has appeared out of nowhere! It feels like Spring is just around the corner, so I picked out this appropriately colourful peach toned coral lipstick from Mac. This was a recent find - one of my friends was having a make-up collection clearout, and I snapped this up!
Burberry has really gone and done it this year. Their makeup look for their Autumn Winter 15 show was absolutely stunning, and I have been obsessing over it ever since I saw it. A sultry smoky eye, with natural brows and warmed up, glowy skin, this look is equal parts sexy, sultry and smudgy glamour, and is also infinitely wearable.
So, I have been crushing on the absolutely gorgeous effortless chic, grunge-glam smokey eye from the Burberry show. Today I thought I would try and recreate that look! So I went for a nude-pink lip to compliment the darker eyes. This is my go-to lipstick for that "my lips but better" shade. This is the perfect shade for me! It gives a hint of colour, but still looks really natural.
